Kujia Kenya is a nationwide youth led and youth benefiting  organization entirely run by youth volunteers, structured to ensure strategic governance, effective program delivery, accountability, and measurable impact across all chapters and regions. Its leadership system connects Board members, the Body of Consultants, national body of programs Leaders, chapter leaders, program committees, and operational activities TEAMS, all composed of passionate youth volunteers. 

Oversight and Governance (Youth Volunteers)

  • Board (Youth Volunteers)
    • Provides strategic governance, policy approval, and organizational oversight.
    • Includes regional representatives from all 12 regions to ensure national and local youth perspectives inform decision-making.
    • Monitors organizational performance, risk management, and alignment with Kujia’s youth empowerment mission.
  • Body of Consultants (Youth Volunteers)
    • Provides technical guidance, mentorship, and specialized expertise at national and regional levels.
    • Advises youth leaders on program design, Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) frameworks, partnerships, and resource mobilization.
    • Supports chapters and regions to maintain program quality, innovation, and adherence to best practices.

National Leadership (All Youth Volunteers)

  • Program Leaders – Define vision, strategy, and standards for all 16 programs nationally.
  • Program Coordinators / Managers – Oversee delivery, budgets, and operational consistency.
  • Partnership Development Associates – Build collaborations with stakeholders, donors, and partners.
  • MEL Associates – Track outcomes, evaluate impact, and ensure evidence-based decision-making.
  • Fundraising & Resource Mobilization Associates – Secure funding and sustainability for youth-led initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Align chapters and regions with national strategies.
  • Provide guidance, resources, and technical support to regional and chapter youth leadership.
  • Ensure consistency, quality, and youth ownership of program implementation across all regions.

Regional Leadership (12 Regions – All Youth Volunteers)

Regions: Nairobi, Lower Eastern, Coast, North Eastern, Upper Eastern, Mt. Kenya, Northern, North Rift, South Rift, South Nyanza, Central Nyanza, Western.

  • Regional Coordinator / Lead – Oversees all chapters in the region, ensures compliance with national policies, and facilitates communication with national leadership.
  • Regional MEL Advisors – Monitor program performance, collect and analyze data, and report to national leadership.
  • Regional Consultant Liaisons – Work with the Body of Consultants to provide mentorship, technical guidance, and capacity building.

Purpose:

  • Serve as a bridge between national leadership and youth-led chapters.
  • Provide oversight, technical guidance, and support to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Adapt programs to local contexts and community needs.

Chapter Leadership (All Youth Volunteers)

  • Chapter Chairperson – Leads the chapter, coordinates programs, and supervises committees.
  • Chapter Secretary – Manages documentation, communications, and record keeping.
  • Chapter Treasurer – Oversees chapter finances and budgeting.
  • Talents Committees Rep -Oversees Activities of Chapters Talents Committees .
  • Partnerships Committees  Rep–  Oversees Activities of Chapters Partnerships  Committees .
  • Business Committees Rep – Oversees Activities of Chapters Business  Committees .
  • Community Committees Rep-Oversees Activities of Chapters Community  Committees .

Responsibilities:

  • Implement national and regional strategies locally.
  • Supervise the 16 Program Committees.
  • Ensure accountability and proper reporting to regional and national youth leadership.
  1. Program Committees (All Youth Volunteers)
  • Committee Chairperson – Leads the program committee, approves activities, and reports to chapter leadership.
  • Secretary – Records minutes and manages communication within the committee.
  • Treasurer – Oversees committee-specific finances.
  • Committee Members – Plan, implement, and monitor program activities.

Key Principle:

Only committee members may serve on TEAMS supporting their committee’s activities to ensure ownership, accountability, and youth-led program execution.

Chapter Activities Level – TEAMS (All Youth Volunteers)

  • Training Team Members – Deliver workshops, mentorship, and skill-building programs.
  • Engagement & Partnerships Team Members – Build partnerships, manage sponsors, and engage communities.
  • Administrative Team Members – Handle logistics, documentation, and communications.
  • Monitoring & Evaluation (MEL) Team Members – Collect program data, track performance, and evaluate outcomes.
  • Strategic Leadership Team Members – Guide planning, decision-making, and ensure alignment with chapter, regional, and national youth strategies.

Rule:

  • TEAMS must consist only of committee members, ensuring accountability, expertise, and full youth ownership of all activities.

  7. Kujia Enterprise – Entrepreneurship bootcamps, mentoring, and incubation.
  8. Kujia Voices – Digital media, blogging, and personal branding.
  9. Kujia Awards – Recognition and award ceremonies.
  10. Kujia Welfare – Wellbeing, mental health, and social support initiatives.
  11. Kujia Retreats – Leadership retreats and exposure trips.
  12. Kujia Adventure – Safari trips linking youth with learning and networking.
  13. Kujia LEADeV – Youth leadership and development programs.
  14. Kujia Friends – Ambassadors, fundraising campaigns, and partner networks.
  15. Kujia Chapters – Daily chapter operations and community engagement.
  16. Kujia Exhibitions – Exhibitions showcasing program outcomes, certifications, and innovations.

  • This structure ensures 100% youth-led governance, program execution, accountability, quality, impact, and sustainability, while allowing programs to adapt to local contexts and community needs across Kenya.
