Kujia Digitize Program

A Youth Job Creation and MSME Digital Transformation Initiative

Kujia Digitize

Kujia Digitize is a youth-led job creation and MSME digital transformation program  designed and implemented by Kujia Kenya. The programme aims to create sustainable employment opportunities for digitally skilled youth while supporting Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to transition into the digital economy.

The programme engages youth with skills in blogging, digital storytelling, interviews, online presence management, website development, business process automation, and digital training. These youth are deployed as Digital Associates to support MSMEs in digitising their operations, marketing, customer engagement, and internal systems.

Through Kujia Digitize, youth gain paid work experience, mentorship, and professional exposure, while MSMEs benefit from affordable, locally delivered digital solutions that enhance productivity, visibility, and growth.

Youth Unemployment Challenge

Kenya continues to face high youth unemployment despite a growing number of young people acquiring digital and creative skills. Many youth possess practical competencies in content creation, web development, automation, and online engagement but lack structured opportunities, market access, and income-generating platforms.

MSME Digital Gap

At the same time, many MSMEs struggle with:

  • Limited online presence

  • Poor digital marketing and customer engagement

  • Manual and inefficient business processes

  • Lack of skills to adopt digital tools

This digital gap limits MSME growth, competitiveness, and resilience.

Opportunity

Kujia Digitize bridges this gap by connecting skilled youth to MSMEs, creating a mutually beneficial ecosystem that delivers:

  • Jobs and income for youth

  • Digital transformation for MSMEs

  • Local economic development and inclusion
